El Rosario Clears Radazul Alto Sewer Blockage; Warns on Wipes

El Rosario City Council announced yesterday that municipal workers have been busy for several days fixing a blocked sewer on Gravina Street in Radazul Alto. The blockage was stopping wastewater from draining properly from the area.
The council explained that the problem was caused by a large amount of wet wipes and other hygiene products flushed down toilets. This was made worse by the roots of a flamboyant tree, which had grown excessively and narrowed the drainage pipes.
Yesterday, El Rosario Mayor Escolástico Gil and Juan Jesús del Rosario, the Councilor for Public Works and Hydraulic Services, visited the site to see the ongoing work.
The city council stressed how important it is for residents not to flush wet wipes and other personal hygiene products down the toilet.
