The "Summer Flavors Sensations" fair returns to El Médano in Granadilla de Abona this weekend, featuring local gastronomy, regional wines, live music, and sustainable practices.

This weekend, the Tenerife coast will once again highlight local business and agriculture. The Granadilla de Abona City Council has announced that the "Summer Flavors Sensations" fair will take place tomorrow in El Médano square, showcasing the best of regional food and wine.

Supported by the Abona Denomination of Origin and the public company Sermugran, the event will feature around 30 exhibitors, including local restaurants and wineries. The wine selection will highlight labels from both the Abona and Güímar Valley regions, encouraging local support through direct sales. To help manage summer traffic in the busy area, organizers are providing a free shuttle service for attendees.

The fair will run from 6:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m., with prices for food and drinks ranging from one to five euros. Organizers are also prioritizing sustainability by using reusable Tritan containers and providing dedicated glass recycling stations to meet environmental standards for large events.

Beyond the food and drink, the event features a full schedule of culture and sports. At 7:00 p.m., there will be a ceremony honoring athletes from the Windsurfing World Cup. This will be followed by live music, including tribute acts to Adele and Fito, and a performance by the band Ni un Pelo de Tonto. Carmen Delia Mesa Cabrera, head of Employment and Local Development, noted that these events are vital for promoting Canarian products and using gastronomy to boost the local economy.
