Efecto Pasillo to Headline Charity Concert with Orchestral Collaboration at 2026 Sonora Festival

The 2026 Sonora Festival in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria is set to host a unique collaboration between popular music and classical training. Taking place from October 16 to 18 at the Plaza de Santa Ana, the event will feature the band Efecto Pasillo performing alongside the Barrios Orquestados educational project and the Maestro Valle University Orchestra.

The festival also has a strong charitable focus. The closing performance on Sunday, October 18, at 7:30 p.m. will raise funds for Barrios Orquestados, a social initiative led by José Brito. For this show, about 60 musicians have spent time reimagining a dozen of Efecto Pasillo’s biggest hits. Six arrangers worked to give a symphonic twist to fan favorites like Pan y mantequilla and Cuando me siento bien, adding new layers of strings and winds to the band’s signature pop, rock, and Latin sound.

The festival will span three days, with free concerts held on the first two days. The lineup for Friday, October 16, includes Juseph, Barry B, Daniela Garsal, Nacho LPZ, Juli & Mckenzy, and Good Franco. Saturday, October 17, will feature performances by M-Clan, Sanguijuelas del Guadiana, The Molotovs, and Los Blody.

For Efecto Pasillo—made up of Iván Torres, Javi Moreno, Arturo Sosa, and Nau Barreto—this project arrives as they prepare for their 20th anniversary in 2027. The band has used this opportunity to revisit not only their most famous tracks but also lesser-known songs from their catalog.
