Actor Eduardo Noriega will host a special Q&A session at Tenerife’s Multicines this Thursday to promote the upcoming tenth anniversary of the Isla Calavera Fantastic Film Festival.

The Isla Calavera Canary Islands Fantastic Film Festival is celebrating its tenth anniversary this year, running from November 6 to 15. The festival continues to grow, attracting major national talent to La Laguna. Organizers have announced a special highlight at Multicines Tenerife this week, where actor Eduardo Noriega will host a Q&A session following a screening of his latest film.

This event serves as a lead-up to the festival’s anniversary and offers a chance to reflect on Noriega’s career. The actor, who received an honorary award from the festival in 2023, is also marking the 30th anniversary of Tesis, the Alejandro Amenábar film that changed Spanish genre cinema forever.

The event takes place this Thursday at 7:00 p.m. and features the film La ahorcada. Directed by Miguel Ángel Lamata, the movie is a departure from his usual comedy work, instead offering a gothic horror story based on the book by Mayte Navales. The film stars Amaia Salamanca, Cosette Silguero, Norma Ruiz, and Noriega, and follows a story of obsession and ghosts within a family home. The screening will be followed by a discussion with the director and the actor.

The Isla Calavera festival is organized by the Charlas de Cine Association, Multicines Tenerife, and TumbaAbierta.com, with support from the La Laguna City Council, the Government of the Canary Islands, and the Cabildo de Tenerife. Tickets for the event are available at the cinema box office and online.
