Domingo Rodríguez, known as "El Colorao," a timple player from the Canary Islands, will receive the Honorary Award from the Canarian Music Awards Association. This award celebrates his long and impactful career and his contributions to the music and culture of the Canary Islands.
Rodríguez, born in 1964, will accept the award on December 3rd at the seventh annual Canarian Music Awards ceremony. The event will take place at the Leal Theater in La Laguna. He shared his happiness that the award comes from his fellow musicians, saying, "I am immensely grateful. It is a great honor that also indicates I have been doing something good for years. One works with love and affection to try to be happy and to honestly deliver their work to the public."
