Daniel Abreu Brings Contemporary Dance to La Laguna’s Santo Domingo Convent
National Dance Prize winner Daniel Abreu will present a double bill of contemporary performances this Wednesday at the historic Convent of Santo Domingo in La Laguna.
La Laguna is once again at the heart of Spain’s dance scene. This Wednesday at 8:30 p.m., the historic Convent of Santo Domingo will host a double bill featuring the company of National Dance Prize winner Daniel Abreu.
As part of the "Santo Domingo en Ciclo" series, this event highlights the importance of contemporary dance in Tenerife and showcases a venue dedicated to blending different artistic styles. The evening will feature two performances: Más o menos inquietos, a piece about partnership and support performed by Abreu and Carmen Fumero, and Selva, a group work featuring Dácil González and Diego Pazo that explores human relationships through striking visuals.
This event is a great chance to see the evolution of Abreu’s work while experiencing how heritage sites can serve as modern stages for the arts. Tickets are available through the Tickety website for those looking to see one of Spain’s most influential choreographers in action.
