Tenerife-born brothers Jorge and Guillermo Díaz-Graham have bolstered their professional prospects after standout performances for the Dallas Mavericks at the Las Vegas Summer League amid an ongoing legal challenge regarding their NCAA eligibility.

Brothers Jorge and Guillermo Díaz-Graham have significantly boosted their international profiles following a strong showing at the Las Vegas Summer League. According to Gigantes del Basket and On3, the Tenerife natives have firmly established themselves within the Dallas Mavericks organization.

The 23-year-old twins delivered impressive performances during the tournament’s final stages. Jorge, who played at Oregon State, became a key contributor during the Mavericks' three-game winning streak. He stood out particularly against the New York Knicks, recording 15 points, 12 rebounds, and five assists in 26 minutes. He finished the tournament averaging 11 points, nine rebounds, and 1.3 blocks per game. Guillermo, who played for the San Francisco Dons, also saw his role grow, finishing his final appearance with eight points, six rebounds, and a +10 efficiency rating.

This success comes during a busy summer for the brothers. After being selected in the G-League International Draft by the Texas Legends—with Jorge going first and Guillermo third—the pair now face a legal challenge. They are among 45 NCAA players suing in California courts to secure a fifth season of collegiate eligibility. They argue that current NCAA rules create unfair inequalities, citing legal precedents from Ohio.

The situation is further complicated by their status in Spain, where CB Canarias holds the rights to Guillermo in the ACB league. As the brothers weigh their options for the 2026-27 season, their strong performance in Las Vegas serves as a powerful statement for their professional future, regardless of the outcome of their ongoing legal battle.
