Cuban-Flavored "ConCierto Paliqueo" Blends Music and Interactive Q&A in Tenerife

This Sunday at 7:00 PM, Espacio La Granja in Santa Cruz de Tenerife will host ConCierto Paliqueo, a unique musical event with a Cuban flavour. The evening features two popular Caribbean music groups in the Canary Islands: Quimbao La Nuit and Andrea Rodríguez.

This show blends live music with an interactive element where the artists answer questions by singing. It's the second-to-last event of its kind this year, promising a night of discovery through new ways of experiencing stories and music.

Around twenty local musicians will be part of the session, hosted by presenter and singer Rubén Rodríguez, and accompanied by the 101 Brass Band. For a different perspective, audience members can choose to sit on bleachers placed directly on the stage.

The six-member group Quimbao La Nuit will be on hand to answer questions from the audience and Rubén Rodríguez through their songs. Their performances are known for their energetic son, salsa, Latin jazz, and timba rhythms, which have made them a hit in the Canary Islands.

Andrea Rodríguez will also perform, sharing music that celebrates the connection between the Canary Islands and Latin America. She'll answer questions with a mix of music from both regions, including cumbia, son, traditional merengue, afro, timba, salsa, aires de lima, Peruvian son, punto cubano, and Venezuelan joropo.

The central theme for this session is "cadence," and the questions will be based around this idea. However, the audience can also submit any questions they have about the artists' careers or lives in real-time via their mobile phones.

Through this musical journey of cadence, Quimbao and Andrea will guide the audience from island to island, from the Atlantic to the Caribbean, in a captivating interplay of music and conversation. Tickets can be purchased online at www.espaciolagranja.es and at the venue's box office.
