Costa Adeje Tenerife Overhauls Squad for 26/27 Season Under Coach Yerai Martín

Costa Adeje Tenerife has overhauled its squad for the 26/27 season, aiming to balance a core group of experienced players with a fresh injection of new talent. Under sporting director Jordi Torres, the club is focusing on stability while investing in younger, international prospects.

The club has confirmed Yerai Martín as head coach following his successful run since late 2025. His leadership has been key to retaining core players like Aleksandra Zaremba, Nay Cáceres, Ange Koko, and Carlota Suárez, while promoting youth prospects Bárbara Martínez and Noelia Salazar. This continuity is vital as the team moves on from long-time figures like María Estella, as well as the departures of Clau Blanco, Sakina Ouzraoui, Sandra Castelló, and Bicho.

To boost competitiveness, the club has signed seven new players. These include experienced Liga F talents Érika González, Ari Mingueza, Natalia Padilla (a Polish international formerly with Bayern Munich), Marina Martí, Henar Muiña, and Alba Pérez. They are joined by 18-year-old Cameroonian striker Lys Tiwa, who arrives as the top scorer from her national league.

The squad also saw the departure of two homegrown stars: Natalia Ramos, who moved to Liverpool after a ten-goal season, and Paola Hernández, who transferred to the Swiss club Servette. These moves provided the club with valuable revenue and highlighted its success in developing players for top international leagues.

This strategy reflects a broader trend in Spanish women’s football, where clubs are increasingly professionalizing their recruitment and using academy sales to strengthen their finances. Costa Adeje Tenerife now looks to build on last season’s impressive fourth-place finish by integrating these new signings into a proven tactical system.
