Comedian Juan Dávila Helps Fan Smile After Girlfriend's Suicide
Comedian Juan Dávila shared a fan's heartbreaking story of finding solace and laughter at his Tenerife show after his girlfriend's suicide, underscoring the profound impact of his performance.
Comedian Juan Dávila performed his show 'El palacio del pecado' (The Palace of Sin) in Tenerife this past weekend. His audience had a great time laughing non-stop, as Dávila constantly interacts with them throughout the performance.
But sometimes, behind those big smiles, sad stories are hidden. This time, one was particularly heartbreaking. Juan Dávila shared such a story on his social media. A fan who saw his show in Tenerife sent him a message, explaining how much the performance meant to him, helping him forget his personal struggles, even if just for a few hours.
The fan wrote: "Good morning Juan, I came to your show yesterday at 8:30 PM, and I wanted to thank you from the bottom of my heart. The 'only' problem is that I didn't go with the person I bought the tickets for (my girlfriend). Last Sunday, she took her own life at our home, so you can imagine the situation..."
Despite the difficult circumstances, the fan explained his hesitation before attending: "I was very afraid to go because I didn't know if I could handle it. After all, she was the one who introduced me to your work. But you worked your magic and made me smile again... Sending you a huge hug!"
Juan Dávila, after sharing this message online, also offered his full support to the fan. He wrote: "Surely she was feeling very close to us from somewhere. Stay strong, because as long as I have the strength, I will be on a stage to make you smile. Thank you very much, Tenerife and its people."
Juan Dávila's visit to Tenerife left him with more than just the audience's love and the satisfaction of knowing he brings joy to people facing tough times. He also collected many memorable gifts. On his Instagram, he shared a carousel of images showing some of the presents he received, including a Canarian wrestling outfit, several t-shirts, drinks, and books.
He posted: "TENERIFE! Thank you very much for everything – for your dedication and your gifts!"
