Santa Cruz de Tenerife will host the 24th Clásica de Tenerife classic car event this Sunday, November 9, featuring an urban circuit that will lead to road closures, parking bans, and public transport disruptions.

The 24th Clásica de Tenerife classic car event will be held next Sunday, November 9. This urban circuit revives the spirit of the Tenerife Grand Prix from the 1960s.

This exhibition will lead to road closures and parking bans. Many of the classic cars will also be on display at García Sanabria Park in Santa Cruz, Tenerife, starting Friday at various times.

The main change will be road closures on Sunday, starting at 12:00 PM. The route begins on Madrid Avenue, goes up Benito Pérez Armas Avenue to Simón Bolívar, then down Benito Pérez Armas, joining La Asunción Avenue, Reyes Católicos, to the Dominican Republic roundabout, and back to Unamuno Street and Madrid Avenue. The cars will complete three laps of this circuit, with departures every ten minutes, according to the organizers.

The event is expected to finish around 2:00 PM. If there are no safety concerns, Santa Cruz Local Police plan to reopen affected roads by 3:00 PM.

On Friday, another stage of the event, supported by the Local Police, will start from García Sanabria Park, go along Ramblas de Santa Cruz, and head towards San Andrés via the TF-11. It will then continue on the TF-12 towards Taganana-El Bailadero and pass through La Laguna. Cars are expected back at García Sanabria by 9:00 PM.

On November 8 (Saturday), another stage will also begin at García Sanabria Park, going through Ramblas de Santa Cruz, Francisco La Roche Avenue, Marítima Avenue, and Constitución Avenue, before heading south on the TF-4 access road.

This event is a regularity and navigation challenge for classic and historic cars that are over 50 years old.

Parking restrictions will be in place from 12:00 AM on Sunday. These will affect parts of Benito Pérez Armas Avenue (between Simón Bolívar and Pío Baroja streets) and Madrid Avenue (between Benito Pérez Armas, Unamuno Street, and up to Belgium Avenue). On Doctor José Naveiras Street, a 15-meter section will have no parking from 1:00 PM on Friday, November 7, until 7:00 PM on Sunday, November 9.

Public transport will also be affected. From 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, bus lines 014, 026, 228, 232, 903, 906, 908, 911, 920, 921, 936, and 937 will have changes. This means bus stops at Centro de Salud, Madrid Avenue, Belgium Avenue, San Sebastián Street, Jesús y María, Plaza de Toros, República Dominicana, Rambla Reyes Católicos, Municipal Pool, Fire Station, Fragata Danmark Street, La Granja Park, Benito Pérez Armas, Valle Inclán, El Chapatal, Tres de Mayo, Plaza de La Paz, and José Hernández Afonso will be temporarily closed.
