Cisneros La Laguna Faces Tough Test Against Unicaja Costa de Almería; Libby's La Laguna Takes on Undefeated Avarca de Menorca
Cisneros La Laguna faces a tough away match against Unicaja Costa de Almería in their fourth Superliga Masculina 25/26 game, while Libby's La Laguna takes on undefeated Avarca de Menorca in the Liga Iberdrola.
A big match is happening today between two strong teams. Cisneros La Laguna is playing their fourth Superliga Masculina 25/26 game at 4:30 PM. They'll be at the Pabellón Moisés Ruiz, facing Unicaja Costa de Almería, a top team in Spanish volleyball.
Cisneros La Laguna currently has one point in the league, which they got last weekend against Conqueridor Valencia. They're hoping for their first win of the season. This game in Andalusia will be their third away match out of four. They've already played away against Guaguas in Gran Canaria (losing 3-0) and in Manacor (losing 3-1).
Unicaja Costa de Almería is in seventh place with three points, having won one game and lost two. Their only win so far was at home against Voleibol Leganés (3-0). They lost their away games against Grupo Herce Soria Voleibol (3-1) and Bus Leader San Roque.
Cisneros coach Miguel Rivera admitted that "playing at the Moisés Ruiz is always tough, as it's one of the most historic courts in Spanish volleyball." He expects a "difficult" match against a team with "many high-quality and experienced national players." However, he believes his team has what it takes "to try and make things difficult for them."
In other news, Libby’s La Laguna is heading to Menorca for their sixth round of the Liga Iberdrola today. The match starts at 6:00 PM in Ciutadella, where they will play Avarca de Menorca.
The La Laguna team is currently sixth in the league after losing the Canary Islands derby to Gran Canaria. They will now face an Avarca de Menorca team that is still undefeated. Libby's La Laguna coach, Guillermo Orduna, praised his team's hard work this week. "We've trained very well. We learn important lessons from defeats to get better. The team has taken it that way, and it's been a very important week," he said.
