Christina Rosenvinge to Headline 12th DocuRock Festival in Tenerife
Spanish singer-songwriter Christina Rosenvinge will perform an intimate duo concert at the Aguere venue in La Laguna on October 30th as part of the 12th DocuRock International Festival.
On October 30th, one of Spain’s most versatile independent artists, Christina Rosenvinge, returns to the Canary Islands. She will headline a special evening at the Aguere venue in La Laguna as part of the 12th DocuRock International Festival. This will be her first performance in Tenerife since her appearance at the Boreal festival two years ago, and she will be performing in an intimate duo format alongside guitarist Amaia Miranda.
Rosenvinge’s career, which began in 1980, has evolved significantly over the decades. A cult figure in Spanish music, she successfully transitioned from the commercial pop of her early days—such as her time with Alex y Christina and Los Subterráneos—to a more experimental and mature sound. Her move to New York in the late nineties, where she worked with artists like Lee Ranaldo, was a turning point that led to a more introspective style and her entry into the international market with albums like Frozen Pool and Continental 62.
Beyond her dozen solo albums, Rosenvinge has expanded her creative reach into literature with her book Debut, as well as theater and film. Her recent work exploring the life of Sappho and her role in the film Después de Kim highlight an artist who refuses to be defined by a single genre.
Tickets for the show are available now at canaryticket.com for 18 euros. Tickets purchased at the door on the night of the event will cost 25 euros.
