Christina Rosenvinge to Bring 'Los Versos Sáficos' to Tenerife’s DocuRock Festival
Spanish musician Christina Rosenvinge will perform her theatrical production Los versos sáficos this Friday at the Aguere Espacio Cultural in La Laguna as part of the 12th International DocuRock Festival.
Christina Rosenvinge, one of Spain’s most versatile musicians, returns to Tenerife this Friday. As part of the 12th International DocuRock Festival, she will perform her stage production, Los versos sáficos, at the Aguere Espacio Cultural in La Laguna.
Accompanied by guitarist Amaia Miranda, Rosenvinge returns to the island following her 2022 appearance at the Boreal Festival. The show features music composed for her theatrical project based on the life of Sappho of Lesbos, highlighting the creative range she has displayed since starting her career in the 1980s.
From her early days with Álex y Christina and Christina y los Subterráneos to her successful solo career of twelve albums, Rosenvinge has branched out into literature with her book Debut, as well as cinema and theater. Her work in film includes a recent role in Ángeles González-Sinde’s Después de Kim.
Her multifaceted career was recognized in 2018 with the National Award for Contemporary Music. This honor reflects her lasting influence on the alternative music scene, a style she further developed while living in New York between 1999 and 2003, where she recorded albums such as Frozen Pool and Continental 62.
Tickets for the La Laguna event are available for 18 euros in advance via Canaryticket, or for 25 euros at the door on the night of the concert. The event is supported by the La Laguna City Council’s Culture Department as part of the festival’s twelfth edition.
