Chayanne and Latin Stars Draw Massive Crowds to Tenerife’s Cook Music Fest
The Cook Music Fest in Tenerife has solidified its status as a premier Latin music destination following a star-studded event headlined by Chayanne, Olga Tañón, and Greeicy.
The Cook Music Fest has firmly established itself as a major player in the Canary Islands' music scene. Following a massive opening day in Santa Cruz de Tenerife that drew nearly 60,000 people to see stars like Don Omar, Ivy Queen, Farruko, and Myke Towers, the festival kept its momentum going through Friday.
Friday’s "Latin Mood" theme brought a shift toward pop and dance rhythms. Starting at 4:00 p.m., the crowd enjoyed sets from Gynebra, Miss Music Band, DJ JRodriguez, and Ledes Díaz. Emily Estefan kicked off the main performances, blending jazz with Latin influences.
The evening continued with Colombian star Greeicy, who brought her "Candela World Tour" to the stage, followed by a standout performance from Puerto Rican icon Olga Tañón, who shared a special connection with the Tenerife audience.
The highlight of the night was undoubtedly Chayanne. As part of his "Bailemos Otra Vez Tour 2026," the singer captivated the crowd by mixing his timeless classics with newer tracks, proving his enduring appeal. The night wrapped up with the Cuban duo Gente de Zona, who brought their signature blend of reggaeton and Caribbean sounds to the stage.
The success of the festival highlights how large-scale events can revitalize the culture and economy of island capitals. By attracting world-class talent, Tenerife is positioning itself as a key destination for major Latin music tours—a sector that has become a primary driver of Spain’s live music industry over the last decade.
