The TF-1 in the Canary Islands will be closed at night due to the construction of a third lane.
In the south of the Canary Islands, on the TF-1 highway, traffic will be blocked at night for the construction of the third lane between San Isidro and Playa de las Américas from September 14 to October 25.
Attention, drivers! In the south of the Canary Islands, on the TF-1 highway (between the Las Chafiras and Oroteanda junctions, near San Miguel de Abona), traffic will be blocked at night. This is necessary to complete the construction of the third lane between San Isidro (near Granadilla de Abona) and Playa de las Americas (near Adeje).
Due to the fact that there are a lot of cars there during the day (about 90,000!), as well as traffic on the TF-65, TF-652 and TF-655 roads, and active work in the Las Chafiras industrial zone, it was decided to carry out the work at night in order not to create large traffic jams.
Currently, road workers are restoring the main part of the TF-1 highway to its final appearance: removing old asphalt, laying new asphalt, rearranging concrete blocks, installing metal fences, making exits and applying markings. These works will last from September 14 to 21, starting with the road towards Santa Cruz.
Also, from September 5 to 21, large road signs, shields and other signs will be installed. Cranes and other heavy equipment will be used for this, so some of the lanes will have to be closed. In addition, from September 21 to October 25, it is planned to lay the last layer of asphalt on the entire section and apply all markings.
The Road Infrastructure Management asks you to be careful on the road.
