The Canarian Coalition is urging the authorities of Güímar to complete the important infrastructure projects in Puertito that were initiated by nationalists, including the new medical center, pumping station, and square.

The Canarian Coalition (CC) of Güímar has appealed to the local authorities to complete important projects in Puertito. These projects were conceived, developed and financed during the time when nationalists governed the city.

Gustavo Pérez Martín, local secretary of the Canarian Coalition, emphasized that Güímar is now enjoying the results of many years of work, and it is unacceptable for the new government to waste already guaranteed investments.

Of particular importance is the new medical center in Puertito, which will be three times larger than the existing one. It will include pediatric services, a blood collection point and 24-hour medical care.

Also important is the Los Tarajales pumping station, which will help stop the discharge of waste into the sea and connect wastewater to the treatment plant. This project is financially supported by the Island Council of Tenerife.

In addition, a new square of the General Plan of Puertito is planned with a cafeteria, toilets, changing rooms, an outdoor gym, access to the sea and green areas with beautiful views. A strategic plan for playgrounds is also being developed, which envisages the creation of one of the largest parks in Tenerife, next to Las Baleras Park, and a new center for the elderly in Puertito, which is financed by a subsidy from the Government of the Canary Islands.

Pérez stressed that all these projects are already planned, have a budget and work is underway thanks to the previous work of the past team and the Canarian Coalition. He also noted that thanks to these improvements, Güímar will be able to obtain the Blue Flag for one of its beaches for the first time.

CC Güímar calls on the current government to be responsible and asks not to lose any of these investments, but to continue their implementation for the benefit of Güímar. The organization is ready to assist the government team, as it has done from the beginning, to ensure that these projects move forward.
