After fifty years of writing, Tenerife journalist Carmelo Rivero has published his debut poetry collection, "How the Seas Look," conceived three decades ago and exploring war, alongside a new collection "Belvedere" focusing on European conflicts.

The book "How the Seas Look," first conceived three decades ago, has just been published. It feels especially relevant in the world today because it explores how wars happen and the difference between good and evil.

Apparently, this book marks Carmelo Rivero's debut as a published poet. Rivero, a journalist from Tenerife, has been writing poetry for fifty years but has never published before, making this book a significant personal and literary event.

The poems are enhanced by paintings from Juan Luis Caero. The book also includes a second collection of poems, "Belvedere," which is also new and was written more recently. This part focuses on worries about conflicts in Europe.

Both books are published by the Center for Canarian Popular Culture.
