Candelaria Unveils 2026 Santa Ana and Virgen del Carmen Festival Program
Candelaria City Council has unveiled its 2026 Santa Ana and Virgen del Carmen festival program, featuring a mix of traditional celebrations and youth-oriented events with mandatory digital ticketing and enhanced security protocols.
Candelaria City Council has announced its cultural program for the 2026 Santa Ana and Virgen del Carmen festivities. The lineup features popular Canary Islands acts like Pepe Benavente and the group Nueva Línea, aiming to blend local traditions with a vibrant nightlife—a key goal for the town as its population swells during the summer months.
Most events will take place at the venue near the town hall. A highlight of the calendar is the "Cena Romera" and the "Baile de Magos y Pescadores" on the night of July 18. This traditional event, which requires guests to wear traditional attire, runs from 9:30 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. and features performances by orchestras Son Sabor, Furia Joven, and Revelación, alongside Pepe Benavente.
Residents can book tables for 25 euros by making an appointment on the municipal website starting June 24; appointments will be held between June 29 and July 3. General tickets cost 5 euros and go on sale July 6 via ttiicket.es, with free entry for children under five.
On July 22, the focus shifts to younger residents. The "D’Lokos Candelaria Joven" event—an alcohol-free space—runs from 6:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. and features Tana Sandoval, DJ Wes, Renzzo, Claudia Rutten, and Javi Plasencia. Following this, the group Nueva Línea will perform for the general public.
To streamline operations, there will be no physical ticket offices; all sales are digital. Additionally, strict security protocols are in place for minors under 16, who must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Guardians must provide identification and sign a liability waiver upon entry. These measures reflect a growing commitment to safety and crowd management at major events across the Canary Islands.
