CEIP Príncipe Felipe in Candelaria celebrated the end of the school year with a community-focused "Chachi Day," featuring activities designed to help over 500 students process the emotional transition into summer break.

The end of the school year at CEIP Príncipe Felipe in Candelaria was much more than just a formal wrap-up this year. As reported by El Día, the school hosted a special community event called "Chachi Day," designed to help students manage the emotional transition of saying goodbye to their friends and teachers before the summer break.

More than 500 students took part in the event, which replaced traditional end-of-year ceremonies with fun activities like dance sessions, magic shows, and face-painting. School principal Marian Valls explained that the day is part of a broader strategy to help students process their emotions, turning what can be a nostalgic or difficult time into a positive experience.

These initiatives are particularly important for sixth-grade students, who are preparing to move on to secondary school. The Vice Minister of Education, José Manuel Cabrera, attended the event to join in the activities and acknowledge the hard work of the entire school community over the past year.

Beyond the festivities, the day strengthened the bonds within the school. It included tributes to staff members, such as teacher Saray Ojeda, and relied on the active support of the Parents' Association (AMPA), who helped provide refreshments. By bringing together everyone from preschool to the final year of primary school, the event highlighted the school's role as a supportive community hub, providing a sense of connection before the summer holidays.
