Candelaria Plans Family Fun Weekend, Dinosaur Parades
Candelaria will kick off 2026 with a three-day program of family fun from January 2-4, featuring children's fairs, inflatable parks, dinosaur parades, and live shows across Punta Larga and the town center.
Candelaria is starting 2026 with a big program of family fun. These events will run from Friday, January 2, to Sunday, January 4, across different spots in Punta Larga and the town center. The local council has put together a schedule packed with kids' activities, themed shows, and outdoor parades.
The fun begins on Friday, January 2, at 11:00 AM in the Punta Larga Shopping Center square. Here, the "Navilandia Familiar" children's fair will offer a candy factory, workshops, and bouncy castles. Later that day, at 1:00 PM, children aged three to ten can enjoy "Navidad en el Bosque" (Christmas in the Forest).
On Saturday, January 3, and Sunday, January 4, the main attraction will be the "Parque de los Sueños Reales" (Park of Royal Dreams). This park will be set up at the Bruno Alberto football field, located in the Sabina area of Punta Larga. It will be open from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM and again from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Kids aged one to fifteen can enjoy inflatable rides, games, and meet children's characters.
A highlight of the weekend will be the dinosaur parades along the central promenade of Rambla de Los Menceyes. On Saturday, giant herbivore dinosaurs will parade at 1:00 PM, followed by carnivore dinosaurs at 7:00 PM. The schedule repeats on Sunday, with carnivores at 1:00 PM and herbivores at 7:00 PM.
The program wraps up on Sunday, January 4, at 7:00 PM with "Pasaporte Mágico con Los Cantadores" (Magic Passport with Los Cantadores). This show will take place in the venue next to the City Hall, providing a grand finale to a weekend of family fun.
