The Canary Islands’ vacation rental market is gearing up for a 2026 summer season defined by "deseasonalization," as the archipelago continues to attract steady demand year-round. According to a recent report by the booking platform Holidu, which analyzed user behavior between July 4 and August 30, the provincial capitals remain the most popular destinations for travelers.

Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and Santa Cruz de Tenerife lead the way in visitor preference. Notably, both cities offer identical pricing, with an average cost of 108 euros per night, making them highly competitive options within the regional market.

The data also highlights Tenerife’s dominance in the sector, with 11 of the 25 most-booked municipalities located on the island. Gran Canaria follows with five locations, while Lanzarote and Fuerteventura each contribute four. The inclusion of Los Llanos de Aridane on La Palma suggests that travelers are increasingly interested in exploring islands beyond the traditional mass-tourism hubs.

Overall, the market shows a significant range in pricing, with nightly rates varying from 95 to 260 euros. This wide gap reflects the diverse types of accommodation available and the varying levels of demand across the islands, confirming that the archipelago no longer relies on traditional seasonal cycles to maintain its tourism industry.
