The Canary Islands will enjoy stable, spring-like weather this Good Friday, according to the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet). While the Spanish mainland prepares for a significant weather shift, the islands will remain dry and unaffected by the instability forecast for the continent.

In Tenerife, skies will be mostly clear, with some high clouds expected by the afternoon. Temperatures will stay steady, ranging between 16°C and 22°C, with only minor dips in inland areas. Moderate northeasterly winds are expected, alongside typical coastal breezes in the west.

This favorable weather will extend across the entire archipelago. Mountainous islands can expect high cloud cover in the afternoon, while the eastern islands will see similar conditions toward the end of the day. Overall, temperatures will remain consistent across the region.

This outlook stands in sharp contrast to the forecast for the mainland. Weather experts at Meteored warn that a polar air mass will bring a sharp drop in temperatures to the Peninsula early next week. The Canary Islands, however, will remain a warm refuge, maintaining the stable conditions that are vital for the high volume of visitors expected during the holiday period.
