The Canary Islands secured both the first and second prizes in Thursday's National Lottery draw, with winning tickets sold in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Santa Cruz de Tenerife, and La Victoria de Acentejo.

Good fortune continues for the Canary Islands, which saw both a first and second prize in the National Lottery draw held this Thursday, October 30. This was confirmed by the National Lottery operator, Loterías y Apuestas del Estado.

Specifically, winning tickets were sold in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Santa Cruz de Tenerife, and La Victoria de Acentejo.

The first prize, for number 60,966, was sold at the lottery office on Bravo Murillo street, 7, at the corner of Viera y Clavijo, 54, in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. This prize is worth 300,000 euros per ticket. It was also sold in Almería, Barcelona, and Ayamonte in Huelva.

Meanwhile, the second prize went to number 50,532 and is worth 60,000 euros per ticket. In the Canary Islands, it was sold in La Victoria de Acentejo (on General Road, 39) and in Santa Cruz de Tenerife (on Heliodoro Rodríguez López street, 2). This prize was widely distributed across Spain, with tickets also sold in Castrillón in Asturias; Manresa and Premiá de Mar in Barcelona; Armilla in Granada; Solsona in Lleida; Salamanca; and the Sevillian towns of Osasuna and Utrera.

To play, you first choose which draw you want to enter (there are always at least four draws available).

Next, you select your 5-digit ticket number for that draw. You can choose your own digits, or let the system pick them randomly for you. You can also select some digits and have the system fill in the rest by marking them with asterisks. You then specify how many tickets you wish to buy, from 1 to 10.

If you choose a specific number, please note that it might not be available if it has already been sold or is only offered through specific lottery retailers.

Online tickets are virtual, meaning you won't receive a physical paper ticket (as those are sold exclusively at official lottery shops). However, they participate in the draws with the same rules and chances of winning as physical tickets. The main difference is how you claim prizes: for a paper ticket, you must present it, but for online purchases, your winnings are processed automatically, just like other online games, without needing to show anything.

The price of each ticket depends on the draw you enter.

You win a prize if your chosen number (or some of its digits) matches the winning numbers according to the prize structure for that specific draw. Prizes can include the first prize, second prize, matching last digits, 'approximation' prizes (for numbers close to the winners), or a 'refund' (for matching a specific digit).
