Canary Islands Restaurants Compete for Spain's Best Burger Title
Twenty-six restaurants from the Canary Islands are currently competing in the fourth annual national search for Spain's best hamburger, with customers voting online for their favourite until March 1.
Food is a big part of Spanish culture, and you can see this in the many cooking competitions. These events encourage new ideas in the kitchen, get people involved, and shine a light on local food. One national hamburger competition is currently highlighting entries from the Canary Islands.
Twenty-six restaurants from the Canary Islands are taking part in the fourth annual search for Spain's best hamburger. The competition runs from January 29 to March 1 and includes 430 venues nationwide.
Customers can try the burgers from participating restaurants and then vote for their favourite. Voting happens online through the competition's website and digital platforms. When voting, people should think about the bun, the meat, and how well all the ingredients work together – basically, the overall taste. As a bonus, voters who also follow the event on social media will be entered into a draw to win an Apple Watch.
Restaurants from the Canary Islands have two main goals: to be named the best in their region and to compete for the "Best Burger in Spain 2026" title. This award highlights how popular burgers are becoming in Spanish cuisine.
