Repara tu Deuda Abogados has successfully eliminated over 93,000 euros in debt for clients in Tenerife through Spain’s "Second Chance Law."

The "Second Chance Law" is proving to be a vital lifeline for people in the Canary Islands struggling with debt, according to the law firm Repara tu Deuda Abogados. The firm recently secured four favorable rulings in Tenerife, wiping out a combined total of 93,473 euros in debt for their clients.

This legal process, which helps individuals and the self-employed escape unmanageable financial burdens, is based on U.S. regulations that have been in place for over a century. In Spain, applicants must meet specific criteria to qualify: they must prove they are currently or soon will be unable to pay their debts, have no record of financial crimes in the last ten years, and demonstrate that they have acted in good faith throughout the legal process.

Since the firm began using this law in September 2015, it has become a common route for those overwhelmed by debt to find relief. Beyond handling insolvency cases, the firm also reviews banking contracts to protect consumers from potential unfair terms in their financial agreements.
