Canary Islands band Postcode has released their new English-language single "Crime Scene," a preview of their debut album "Broadcast from Nowhere" which is set to launch next Friday, February 13.
The Canary Islands band Postcode, who sing in English, has just released a new song called "Crime Scene." This single is a preview of their first album, "Broadcast from Nowhere," which is set to come out next Friday, February 13.
"Crime Scene" follows several other songs they've released, including "Lost," "Hold My Hand," "In Your Eyes," "Dancing All Night Long," and "Come With Me Tonight." These releases have helped establish the quartet in the Spanish music scene, with an eye towards an international audience.
Postcode's decision to write and perform in English, along with working with well-known producers, shows their ambition to reach listeners beyond Spain. "Crime Scene" is now available on all digital platforms. It's a mid-tempo track where the bass stands out and the drums provide a steady beat. The sound blends the bright feel of the 80s with modern production, creating a vibe that aims to connect with listeners physically.
Postcode wrote and produced "Crime Scene themselves." For mixing, they worked with Ruadhri Cushnan, a Grammy-winning engineer who has worked with artists like Beyoncé, Shawn Mendes, and Tom Odell. Stuart Hawkes, a top mastering engineer known for his work with Amy Winehouse, Ed Sheeran, and Lorde, handled the mastering. This collaboration helps give the song a deep, clear sound that resonates globally.
The members of Postcode, all from the Canary Islands, met at the Tenerife branch of the Canary Islands Higher Conservatory of Music. The quartet combines the energy of indie music with the refined touch of modern pop. Their songs range from personal reflections to grand, anthem-like tunes. This new release further showcases their contemporary alternative pop style, full of emotion and rhythm, with a clear goal of reaching beyond their home islands.
The band draws inspiration from a wide range of artists, including The 1975, The Weeknd, Queen, Coldplay, Billie Eilish, Harry Styles, Imagine Dragons, Dua Lipa, Mumford & Sons, Lumières, and The Killers. Their sound blends emotion, an epic feel, and international sophistication, balancing personal stories with a monumental sound.
Postcode will officially launch "Broadcast from Nowhere" with a concert at Sala Villanos in Madrid on February 24. This will be a chance to experience the Canary Islands group's music live.
