The Canary Islands Police (CGPC) recently arrested two women in northern Tenerife who were wanted on various judicial warrants. These arrests were part of routine operations to locate individuals with outstanding legal matters.
The most significant case took place in La Victoria de Acentejo, where officers from the Citizen Security Unit and the Judicial Police intercepted a woman wanted on four separate warrants. One of these included an order for immediate imprisonment following a conviction for attempted robbery. This case highlights the importance of coordination between regional police and the courts in ensuring that judicial sentences are carried out.
In a separate operation in the same area, officers arrested a 45-year-old woman who was wanted by the courts for procedural purposes.
Following their arrests, both women were taken to the Duty Court of La Orotava. These interventions demonstrate the role of the Canary Islands Police in upholding the law and ensuring that court orders are fulfilled across the archipelago.
