Canary Islands’ Keroxen Festival Makes London Debut at Cafe Oto
The Canary Islands' experimental Keroxen festival is making its London debut at Cafe Oto this week, featuring a three-day showcase of international and island-based avant-garde artists.
The Canary Islands’ cultural scene is reaching a major milestone this week as the Keroxen festival makes its London debut. The event is taking place at Cafe Oto, a renowned hub for avant-garde music, marking a significant step in the festival’s mission to showcase island talent on the international stage.
Organized in partnership with the record label Discrepant, the three-day event features an eclectic lineup:
- Thursday: Akane, Nkisi, DJ Sniff, and Guilherme Granado.
- Friday: Gaf & La Estrella de la Muerte, Memotone, Mauricio Takara, To you they are birds, to me they are voices in the forest, and a Lagoss DJ set.
- Saturday: Paul Pérrim, Black Afrondit, Alejandra Cárdenas, Spencer Clark, and Neurotica Exotica.
This London showcase is part of a wider growth strategy for Keroxen, which recently expanded its traditional Tenerife circuit to include Lanzarote. By establishing a presence in London, the festival aims to solidify its position within the European experimental music scene ahead of its 2026 edition.
This move highlights a growing trend in Spanish cultural management: seeking international partnerships to support unconventional, non-commercial art. By bridging the gap to London, Keroxen is providing a global platform for its unique, experimental approach to music and performance.
