Canary Islands Friday Weather: Cloudy Skies, Possible Showers, Light Winds

Here's the weather forecast for this Friday, according to the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet):

Expect a mix of cloudy and clear skies, with more clouds in the north of the islands. Elsewhere, it will be partly cloudy. There's a chance of light showers in the mid-altitude areas. Temperatures will stay about the same, and there will be a light northerly wind.

On the highest peaks, expect a light to moderate wind from the west.

At sea, expect a north or northeast wind of force 3 or 4, possibly reaching force 5 in some areas. This will mean rippled to rough seas. Elsewhere, the wind will be variable, force 1 to 3, with rippled or slight seas. Expect a northwest swell with waves of 1 to 2 meters.

Expect cloudy skies in the north, especially in the early morning, with clearer skies in the middle of the day. Elsewhere, it will be partly cloudy, becoming cloudier in inland areas of the southeast and east slopes after midday. The central peaks will be clear. There's a chance of light showers in the mid-altitude areas of the north in the early morning and again in the evening. Temperatures will be steady. Expect a light northerly wind combined with local breezes. On the high peaks, there will be a moderate southwest wind.

• Santa Cruz de Tenerife: Low 22°C, High 27°C

La Gomera:

Expect partly cloudy skies in general, with more clouds in the north in the early morning and some cloud in the southeast in the afternoon. There's a chance of light showers in the mid-altitude areas of the north in the early morning and again in the evening. Temperatures will be steady. Expect a light northerly wind combined with local breezes.

• San Sebastián de La Gomera: Low 23°C, High 26°C

La Palma:

Expect generally cloudy skies, especially in the northeast in the early morning, inland areas during the middle of the day, and the southeast in the afternoon. There's a chance of light showers in the mid-altitude areas of the northeast in the early morning and evening, as well as in inland areas of the northeast and southeast during the afternoon. Temperatures will be steady. Expect a light northerly wind combined with local breezes. On the high peaks, there will be a light to moderate westerly wind.

• Santa Cruz de La Palma: Low 22°C, High 26°C

El Hierro:

Expect generally cloudy skies, especially in the north in the early morning and late evening, and during the afternoon in inland areas to the south. Temperatures will be steady. Expect a light northerly wind combined with local breezes. On the peaks, there will be a light westerly wind that will increase during the afternoon.

• Valverde: Low 17°C, High 22°C

Lanzarote:

Expect cloudy skies, especially at night, becoming partly cloudy on the south and east slopes after midday. Maximum temperatures will be steady, while minimum temperatures will drop slightly. Expect a light northerly wind combined with local breezes.

• Arrecife: Low 22°C, High 27°C

Fuerteventura:

Expect cloudy skies, especially at night, becoming partly cloudy on the south and east slopes after midday. Maximum temperatures will be steady, while minimum temperatures will drop slightly. Expect a light northerly wind combined with local breezes.
