Canary Islands Forecast: Temperatures to Reach 30°C in Tenerife This Friday

The Canary Islands will remain stable and warm this Friday, according to the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet). Tenerife is expected to see the highest temperatures, with the mercury potentially climbing to 30°C.

Most of the islands can expect clear skies or only light cloud cover. However, there will be some regional differences: northern areas may see clouds early in the day, with a slight chance of light rain. As the day progresses, clouds will likely develop at higher altitudes, and there is a small possibility of light rain in the mid-altitude areas and the southern coast of Tenerife.

Winds will be light to moderate, generally blowing from the north. Coastal areas will experience local breezes, while moderate westerly winds are expected near the peak of Mount Teide.

This warm spell is consistent with the islands' typical weather patterns, where the landscape significantly influences local temperature and humidity. As high temperatures become more frequent, authorities advise staying alert to changing conditions in inland and mid-altitude areas, where cloud cover can occasionally affect how hot it feels.
