Canary Islands Forecast: Stable Weather Expected for Start of Weekend

The Canary Islands will enjoy a calm start to the weekend, according to the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet). With no significant weather warnings in place, conditions on both land and sea are expected to be stable and settled.

In Tenerife, temperatures will be pleasant, ranging from 18°C to 25°C. While the morning will begin with clear skies, clouds are expected to build up as the day progresses—a common pattern for the island. Light winds from the northeast will pick up slightly in the southeast and far northwest, while the central peaks will see a slight rise in temperatures accompanied by gentle westerly breezes.

Across the rest of the archipelago, the weather will remain consistent. Skies will be mostly clear with some high clouds, and the western islands may see clouds forming inland. The northern coasts might experience patches of low cloud, but temperatures will stay steady, with only a slight increase expected along the southeastern shores.

At sea, conditions are shifting. Winds will transition from light and variable to a northeasterly breeze of force 3 to 5. This will cause the sea to move from a slight swell to a moderate one, with waves between one and two meters high.
