
Canary Islands Electrical Industry Celebrates Excellence at Fiesta de la Candela
Asinelte's annual Fiesta de la Candela celebrated industry leaders and honored Benicio Alonso Pérez and Enrique Pérez Darias with Candelas de Plata awards for their contributions to the electrical and telecommunications sectors in the Canary Islands.
The Business Association of Electrical and Telecommunications Installations of Santa Cruz de Tenerife (Asinelte, part of Femete) held its annual Fiesta de la Candela on Friday, October 10th. The event, a well-known gathering, brought together almost 300 professionals and business owners from the electrical and telecommunications industry in the Canary Islands at Castillo de La Laguna. Government officials, including the General Director of Industry, Ana Zurita, and the Island Councilor for Industry, Manuel Fernández, also attended.
During the event, Asinelte and Feníe Energía donated one thousand euros to the Fundación Canaria Madre del Redentor. Asinelte also presented its prestigious Candelas de Plata 2025 awards, which recognize individuals and organizations that have significantly contributed to the electrical, business, or social sectors in the Canary Islands. These awards represent honor, gratitude, and a commitment to progress and excellence in the industry.
This year, the Candelas de Plata were awarded to Benicio Alonso Pérez (posthumously) and to Enrique Pérez Darias, honoring their outstanding careers and their impact on strengthening the industrial, educational, and professional landscape of the Canary Islands. The Fiesta de la Candela 2025 celebrated these inspiring careers and provided a space to discuss the present and future of the industry, emphasizing the importance of innovation, sustainability, and collaboration for future growth.
