Canary Islands artists Pleito and Lagoss are set to perform at the Monkey Week SON Estrella Galicia 2025 independent music festival and trade fair in the Bay of Cadiz, where a networking event will also be held to connect regional music professionals.
This week, two artists from the Canary Islands, Pleito and Lagoss, will be performing at Monkey Week SON Estrella Galicia 2025. This is a major independent music festival and trade fair held in the Bay of Cadiz. Both Pleito, the solo project of Alba Gil Aceytuno, and Lagoss, known for its experimental sound exploring island myths, have been chosen to showcase their music at this important event.
Monkey Week SON Estrella Galicia 2025 runs from Thursday to Saturday in El Puerto de Santa María. The festival will feature over a hundred performances, including concerts and showcases, alongside professional industry talks.
On Friday, the Culture Department of the Government of the Canary Islands is hosting a networking event. This event is timed to coincide with the performances of Pleito and Lagoss and aims to help music professionals from the Canary Islands connect with agencies, record labels, and music representatives attending the fair.
Lagoss is scheduled to perform at Casa Cossio, the Fundación SGAE stage, following the Canarias Encounter event. Pleito will be performing at the Teatro Municipal Pedro Muñoz Seca, on the stage called Campus Rock.
