The CajaCanarias Foundation has unveiled the program for its 2026 Autumn Cultural cycle in La Palma, cementing the island’s capital as a center for art and intellectual discussion. The events will run from September 18 to October 31, with most performances starting at 8:00 p.m. Ticket information and special offers for Foundation members are available on their website.
The program features a diverse mix of topics, ranging from historical memory to modern social issues. The series kicks off on September 18 with Fabiola Socas, joined by Jesús Pingüino González and Juan Cruz Iriza, performing Postal a Venezuela. This project, inspired by their 2024 recording, explores themes of migration and the musical connections between the Canary Islands and Venezuela.
On September 19, food writer Mikel López Iturriaga and journalist Mariola Cubells will host a forum on communication, food, and digital culture, featuring a live version of the Aló Comidista advice column. On September 25, actor Alberto San Juan and musician Fernando Egozcue will present a performance centered on existential themes. The following day, musicians Benito Cabrera and José Manuel Ramos will perform Étnico, a show that highlights Canarian musical traditions with a focus on simplicity and universal appeal.
The cycle also includes comedy and family-friendly events. On October 30, actor and screenwriter Abián Díaz will perform a solo comedy show. The series concludes on October 31 at 11:00 a.m. with Check Out, a family play directed by Adrián Conde. This award-winning show uses silent film techniques to explore how we manage our time and priorities in the modern world. Admission for the final show is free until the venue reaches capacity.
