CajaCanarias Hosts ‘Wind and Piano’ Chamber Concert in Santa Cruz
The CajaCanarias Foundation will host a "Wind and Piano" chamber music concert this Wednesday in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, featuring works by Beethoven and Poulenc.
Santa Cruz de Tenerife’s cultural scene continues this week with the latest installment of the "Chamber at the Foundation" series. Organized by the CajaCanarias Foundation in partnership with the Tenerife Symphony Orchestra and the Island Council, the next event takes place this Wednesday at 8:00 p.m. at the CajaCanarias Cultural Space.
Titled "Wind and Piano," the concert explores the unique blend of sounds created when keyboard and wind instruments play together. The program features a diverse range of musical styles, moving from the elegance of Viennese Classicism to the sophisticated sounds of 20th-century France. The evening will begin with Ludwig van Beethoven’s Quintet Op. 16, a youthful work clearly influenced by Mozart. This will be followed by Francis Poulenc’s Sextet for wind and piano, a piece known for the witty, refined, and playful spirit of interwar Paris.
This series aims to make chamber music more accessible by offering an intimate alternative to large-scale symphonic performances. Tickets are available at www.cajacanarias.com. To encourage regular attendance, tickets are priced at five euros, with additional discounts available for those who book multiple events in the series.
