The CajaCanarias Foundation is presenting a diverse Christmas program across its cultural centers from December 3rd to January 5th, featuring Nativity scenes, film screenings, musical performances, comedy, storytelling, workshops, and a children's choir.

The CajaCanarias Foundation is hosting a Christmas program from December 3rd to January 5th, with about twenty events for everyone at its cultural centers in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Santa Cruz de La Palma, and Garachico. You can find all the details, buy tickets, and sign up for workshops on their website: www.cajacanarias.com.

The festivities kick off on December 3rd with the unveiling of Nativity scenes at each location. For the fourth year running, Tenerife's capital will showcase a Nativity scene made from Lego bricks. BrickCanarias, along with twelve Lego builders, has created a scene using 350,000 pieces, depicting the world of Harry Potter. The Nativity scenes in La Palma and Garachico will be on display until January 3rd, and the one in Santa Cruz de Tenerife until January 5th.

The CajaCanarias Film Archive is presenting a Christmas film series for children in Santa Cruz de Tenerife and La Palma. They'll be showing "The Muppet Christmas Carol" on December 13th, "Ice Age" on December 27th, and "Kung Fu Panda" on January 3rd. These screenings start at 12:00 PM and are free until the venue is full.

In Santa Cruz de Tenerife, there are three special performances: "Cantando a la Pascua" with Benito Cabrera and José Manuel Ramos on December 19th; comedian Darío López's show "¡Mira tú pa eso!" on December 26th; and "Versos de Navidad" featuring actress Petra Martínez, accompanied by pianist Víctor Carbajo and singer Luis Santana, on January 3rd. All these events begin at 7:00 PM.

Family workshops are another Christmas tradition. The first is "¡Creando Navidad con legos!" by BricksCanarias, held on December 3rd and 17th. Marcela Pilottia will lead a workshop on December 10th where children can learn to make cardboard tree ornaments and create their own wrapping paper.

The Foundation's Christmas storytelling event will feature Fidel Galbán del Val and Melanie Henríquez presenting "Entremeses para el corazón" on December 23rd at 6:00 PM at the CajaCanarias Cultural Space in Santa Cruz de Tenerife. Also in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, from December 3rd to January 5th, you can see the winning entries from the 2025 Christmas Card Contest. The awards ceremony will take place on December 20th at 12:00 PM.

Rounding out the schedule in Santa Cruz de Tenerife is a performance by the Children's Choir of the Professional Conservatory of Music of Tenerife (CPMT) with the Kids and Swing Big Band on December 18th at 6:00 PM.

In addition to the film and the Nativity scene, called "La Anunciación" and designed by Miguel Ángel Brito, the Santa Cruz de La Palma venue will host a children's collage and drawing workshop led by Naza Martín, titled "La máquina creadora," on December 12th.

Finally, in Garachico, alongside the Nativity scene by Creaciones Gaudy, there will be a Christmas workshop for children and adults on December 20th at 11:00 AM. Before that, on December 13th at 12:00 PM, Javier Torres will bring some holiday magic with a show for the whole family.
