CajaCanarias Foundation Concert Celebrates María Orán Music Prize Winners

Pianist Gabriel Ducatenzeiler Kapp will perform a solo recital featuring Chopin, Debussy, Rachmaninoff, and a world premiere by María Orán Music Prize winner Alicia González this Friday at the CajaCanarias Cultural Space in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, as part of the CajaCanarias Cultural Autumn 2025 program.

This Friday, the CajaCanarias Foundation is holding a special concert to celebrate the winners of its María Orán Music Prize 2024. This event is part of the CajaCanarias Cultural Autumn 2025 program.

Pianist Gabriel Ducatenzeiler Kapp will perform a solo recital. His program includes pieces by famous composers like Chopin, Debussy, and Rachmaninoff. He will also play a new work by Alicia González, who won the 2024 prize for the best composition by a local author. This new piece is called "In medio stat virtus" and was written specifically for this concert.

The concert starts at 8:00 PM at the CajaCanarias Cultural Space in Santa Cruz de Tenerife. Entry is free, but space is limited, so arrive early.

Gabriel Ducatenzeiler Kapp is a well-known concert pianist who has performed in the Canary Islands, mainland Spain, and other parts of Europe. In January, he is scheduled to perform three recitals on the islands of Lanzarote, Fuerteventura, and El Hierro as part of the 42nd Canary Islands International Music Festival.
