CaixaBank and Fepeco have renewed their strategic partnership to provide specialized financing for housing development and promote industrialized construction in Tenerife.

CaixaBank and the Provincial Federation of Construction Entrepreneurs of Santa Cruz de Tenerife (Fepeco) have renewed their strategic partnership. The agreement aims to provide Tenerife’s construction and real estate sectors with the financial tools needed to speed up housing production, a move deemed essential in the current market.

This renewal comes at a critical time for the Canary Islands. Fepeco, which has represented local small businesses and self-employed workers since 1977, is currently championing industrialized construction as a key solution to the region's housing crisis. Fepeco president Olga Sanfiel noted that for this model to succeed, companies must have access to financing specifically tailored to their innovative projects.

Manuel Afonso, CaixaBank’s territorial director in the Canary Islands, emphasized that construction remains a vital pillar for the region’s economic stability and job creation. Through its specialized division, CaixaBank Real Estate & Homes, the bank provides support throughout the entire development process—from the initial planning stages to helping final buyers secure mortgage loans.

In addition to offering preferential financial terms, the partnership includes joint efforts to host informative events and boost economic activity. By working closely with organizations like the National Construction Confederation and CEOE-Tenerife, this collaboration aims to align the construction industry’s needs with financial solutions that improve the sustainability and quality of housing across the Canary Islands.
