Cabildo Bookstore in Tenerife Unveils Diverse September Cultural Program
The Cabildo Bookstore in Santa Cruz de Tenerife has unveiled a diverse September program featuring literary tours, academic lectures, and book presentations to reinforce its role as a key cultural hub.
The Cabildo Bookstore in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, managed by the public entity Ideco, has firmly established itself as a key cultural hub. Its September schedule goes far beyond simple book sales, positioning the space as a multidisciplinary meeting point for science, history, and literature.
A highlight of the month is the bookstore's focus on community engagement, such as the "La tuerta" literary walking tour on September 12. Led by María del Mar Rodríguez and Juan Manuel Cruz García, the tour—which explores the city’s heritage through storytelling—is already fully booked, reflecting strong public interest.
Canarian literature remains a central theme this month. On September 9, the book club will analyze Muerte en la Bienal de Venecia by the late Dulce Xerach, followed by a commemorative event in her honor on September 10. Poetry also takes center stage later in the month, with a session on Pino Betancor led by Daniel María on September 24, and a recital featuring the work of José María Millares by Nilo Palenzuela on September 25.
