The César Manrique Maritime Park in Santa Cruz de Tenerife has launched the "Club de Manri" summer program, offering daily activities and educational workshops to engage families and celebrate the artist's legacy amid record-breaking visitor numbers.

The César Manrique Maritime Park in Santa Cruz de Tenerife has launched a new summer program called "Club de Manri." Running throughout July and August, the initiative aims to revitalize the park with daily workshops, games, and activities tailored to different age groups, all overseen by coordinator Jackline Knopps.

This program is part of a city strategy to expand services at the park, which is currently seeing record-breaking attendance. With nearly 70,000 visitors so far this year and June numbers reaching an all-time high, the local government hopes to cement the park as a hub for social life in the capital.

Mayor José Manuel Bermúdez, joined by officials Javier Rivero and Zaida González, explained that the initiative is designed to help families make the most of their leisure time. Beyond just recreation, the program aims to teach children about the legacy of César Manrique, the Lanzarote-born artist for whom the park is named. By integrating these activities, the city hopes to encourage a deeper respect for the environment and the cultural identity of the Canary Islands within one of Tenerife’s most important landmarks.
