Burger Fest Arrives in La Gomera Amid Peak Tourist Season
San Sebastián de La Gomera is hosting the Burger Fest at the Plaza de Las Américas this Thursday through Saturday, featuring local craft beers, diverse food options, and live musical performances.
The Canary Islands’ leisure scene is getting a boost this week as the Burger Fest arrives in San Sebastián de La Gomera. Following a successful run at the Tenerife Trade Fair Center, the event will take over the Plaza de Las Américas from Thursday through Saturday. The festival comes at a busy time for the island, with tourist occupancy currently topping 90%, providing a welcome lift to the local economy.
Organized by Beers Tenerife, the festival features a variety of burger specialists from across the islands, paired with a selection of local craft beers. To ensure there is something for everyone, the food stalls offer both vegan and gluten-free options.
The event is about more than just food; it also features a packed musical lineup. Local DJs—including Dailos Di Marco, Las Mellizas, Juana La Cubana, Renzzo El Selector, Tana Sandoval, J Rodríguez, and Ronal Herrera—will perform alongside the Orquesta Gomera.
Entry to the festival is free. It will remain open until 2:00 AM on Thursday and Friday, and until 4:00 AM on Saturday. This traveling festival highlights a growing trend in the Canary Islands of bringing gastronomic events to different towns to make the most of peak tourist seasons and encourage activity in public spaces.
