Boreal is a magnet for tourists in Tenerife
The Boreal Festival has become an important cultural and tourist event in Tenerife. It has everything: music, street art, delicious food, eco-fairs, and workshops. Every year, this eco-festival attracts thousands of people from other islands. It takes place in a picturesque rural area that is a cultural heritage site. This is a great opportunity for locals and visitors to the island to have a unique experience that complements the usual beach vacation, promotes domestic tourism, and makes northern Tenerife even more attractive.
Boreal is a festival where sustainable development, accessibility, and gender equality are top priorities. It has even received the Premio Fest award for diversity and equality. Therefore, Boreal is not just a cultural event, but also an example of an innovative and responsible approach to organizing festivals.
The Boreal Festival attracts not only tourists from the Canary Islands and Spain, but also guests from all over the world. It shows what cultural and sustainable tourism can be. Boreal cares about the environment, the circular economy, and the decentralization of culture. It is not for nothing that it is called a "boutique festival" and an example to follow. Everyone will find something interesting here, and Los Silos is transformed into a center of active and intercultural tourism. Boreal is an enriching, conscious, and welcoming experience that makes Tenerife even more attractive to travelers looking for more than just sun and beaches.
The Boreal Festival is organized by Folelé Producciones with the support of the Los Silos City Council and the Government of the Canary Islands through Promotur Turismo Canarias. The project is funded by the Ministry of Culture and the Canary Institute for Cultural Development (ICDC), the Ministry of Ecological Transition of the Government of the Canary Islands, the Island Council of Tenerife through the Ministry of Culture, and the Ministry of Culture of the Government of Spain. The festival is also supported by Juventudcanaria.com through Fundación IDEO, Acción Social del Cabildo de Tenerife through Sinpromi, and other organizations, institutions, and companies such as Fundación Sgae, Casa África, CoordinaCanarias, and Fundación "la Caixa" through CaixaBank.
