Boreal Festival Finalizes Lineup for 2026 Edition in Tenerife
The 19th Boreal Festival in Los Silos, Tenerife, has finalized its diverse 2026 lineup with the addition of Candeleros, The Queen of Bass, and the collaborative project Jable.
The 19th Boreal Festival is set to take place in Los Silos, Tenerife, on September 18 and 19, 2026. Organizers have finalized the lineup with three new additions: the group Candeleros, producer The Queen of Bass, and a special project called Jable. These acts join a diverse roster of artists representing four continents.
The highlight of this year’s festival is Jable, a project commissioned by the event from artists Jela and Cristina Mahelo. Featuring a rotating group of local musicians, Jable explores the historical and cultural links between the Canary Islands and Latin America by reinterpreting traditional music through a modern lens. The lineup is rounded out by the Madrid-based sextet Candeleros, known for blending psychedelia and electronica with Afro-Caribbean rhythms, and Tenerife-born producer Andrea Álvarez, also known as The Queen of Bass.
This final announcement confirms Boreal’s status as a key player in the festival circuit. Beyond its artistic program, the event is recognized for its commitment to sustainability and gender equality, having previously won the Fest Award for Diversity and Equality and earning a spot on the Culture Observatory’s list of the ten most significant festivals in rural Spain.
The festival is supported by a mix of public and private funding, including backing from the Los Silos City Council, the Cabildo of Tenerife, the Ministry of Culture, INAEM, Casa África, and the SGAE Foundation. As the only Canarian festival in the Forum of Worldwide Music Festivals (FWMF), Boreal continues to prioritize accessibility and environmental responsibility. With tickets now on sale, the festival’s final program—which includes international stars like Daddy G (Massive Attack), Imarhan, and Renata Flores—promises to be one of the most diverse in Spain next year.
