Boreal Festival Announces New Lineup Additions for September Event in Tenerife
The Boreal Festival has announced new additions to its diverse lineup for the September 18–19 event in Los Silos, Tenerife, reinforcing its commitment to cultural decentralization and international artistic exchange.
The Boreal Festival has solidified its place as a key event in the Canary Islands’ cultural calendar. Organizers recently announced new additions to the lineup for the festival, which will take place on September 18 and 19 in Los Silos, Tenerife. Staying true to its mission of cultural decentralization, the event continues to feature artists who operate outside of mainstream commercial circuits.
The latest additions join a diverse roster that already includes Aterciopelados, Daddy G from Massive Attack, and BCUC. The festival’s programming focuses on blending different musical styles, featuring the Algerian group Imarhan, who modernize traditional Tuareg music with electronic elements, and the trio Throes + The Shine, known for mixing urban electronica with Angolan kuduro.
Local talent is also well-represented by El Veneno Crew, a Tenerife-based group with 20 years of experience in shaping the island’s unique hip-hop scene. The lineup is rounded out by the versatile Mexican artist Fuensanta, who explores jazz and experimental music, and the artist Mariana, performing as La Terrorista del Sabor, who brings a distinct sound centered on the accordion.
Beyond the music, the Boreal Festival serves as a hub for cultural exchange between Africa, Latin America, and Europe. By prioritizing diversity and emerging talent, the festival has become a vital force for revitalizing northern Tenerife. Tickets are available through the Tickety platform or the official festival website, where you can also find details on promotional launch pricing.
