The Black Sound Costa Adeje festival returns to Tenerife on September 25 and 26, featuring a star-studded lineup of soul, jazz, and funk artists led by guitarist Sergio DiEbony Cebrián.

Tenerife’s cultural calendar is heating up as the Black Sound Costa Adeje festival returns. Supported by the Adeje City Council, the event will take place on September 25 and 26 at Plaza Salytien, once again serving as a premier destination for soul, jazz, funk, and R&B in the Canary Islands.

This year’s musical direction is led by guitarist Sergio DiEbony Cebrián, a well-known figure in the national groove scene. Cebrián will lead the BSBand, promising a high-energy performance defined by technical skill. He is joined by a diverse lineup of vocalists, including international star Gwen Thomas—who has performed with legends like Stevie Wonder—and Brequette, a South African-born artist with a strong following in the islands.

The program also features Alex Dee, a frequent collaborator of Cebrián, and Malaga-born singer Noemi Moncrief, who will showcase her unique take on neo-soul and rock-soul. This carefully curated lineup aims to explore the deep roots of Black music, highlighting its role as a vital historical legacy that continues to shape modern culture.

More than just a series of concerts, the festival acts as a bridge for cultural outreach. By bringing together artists from various backgrounds, the event offers the Tenerife public a comprehensive look at the evolution of Black music—from its traditional origins to its modern, danceable hits. With this festival, Costa Adeje continues to cement its commitment to bringing high-quality live music to the local community.
