In Tenerife, two men were arrested for farm thefts. They are 45 and 55 years old and live in Icod de los Vinos and El Sauzal.
Police say they were robbing farms in their areas. They knew when they could sneak in unnoticed and acted during the day, climbing over the fence.
In one case, a man stole bananas from a farm in Icod de los Vinos. He transported them in a relative's car. In total, he stole 300 kilograms of bananas.
In another case, 200 kilograms of Hass avocados were stolen from a farm in El Sauzal. They were found, and the thief was identified. The avocados were still small and unripe.
The cases have been referred to the courts in San Cristóbal de la Laguna and Icod de los Vinos.
