Award-Winning Soplo de Letras 2026 Adds Music Day
Tenerife's Soplo de Letras 2026 festival, recently crowned 'Best Festival in the Canary Islands,' is expanding its program to include a full day of diverse live music on May 16, featuring acts like Iseo & Dodosound, Sanguijuelas del Guadiana, Javi Medina, and Paco Pecado.
The Soplo de Letras 2026 festival in Tenerife is adding a full day of live music to its program, organizers announced. This expansion follows the festival being named 'Best Festival in the Canary Islands 2025' at the Clickers Awards. This award highlights how well-established the event is in the region's culture and its move towards offering more variety.
The new music day will be on Saturday, May 16. The artists announced so far will play a mix of styles, from roots music and electronic sounds to rumba, pop, and singer-songwriter tunes. The aim is to connect traditional and modern independent music from the islands.
Confirmed acts include Iseo & Dodosound, a duo from Navarre (Leire Villanueva and Alberto García) who blend reggae, dub, and electronic music with live instruments. Formed in 2014, they've played at many European festivals. Also performing are Sanguijuelas del Guadiana, a group from Casas de Don Pedro (Badajoz). They combine rock, rumba, electronic music, and traditional Extremaduran sounds. Their album 'Revolá,' released in May 2025, has been popular in Spain's alternative indie scene.
The lineup also features Javi Medina, a singer-songwriter from Madrid known for mixing pop, rumba, and urban styles. He's become more well-known recently, partly thanks to collaborations with artists like Camilo. The initial list is completed by Paco Pecado, a rising star who combines singer-songwriter music with a festive, traditional feel, drawing on both classic and modern influences. His debut album, 'Bodegas y Ferias,' has been showcased at events such as Sesión Vermú.
Organizers say more artists will be added to the lineup in the coming weeks. Tickets for Soplo de Letras 2026 are available now on the festival's official website.
