Auditorio de Tenerife to Host Emerging Talent from Canary Islands Music Conservatory
The Auditorio de Tenerife will host a free showcase of emerging talent from the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Canarias this Thursday at 7:00 p.m.
This Thursday at 7:00 p.m., the Chamber Hall of the Auditorio de Tenerife will host a special showcase featuring emerging talent from the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Canarias (CSMC). More than just a recital, this event acts as a vital bridge between the classroom and the professional stage, giving students the chance to perform in a world-class acoustic environment. Admission is free until the venue reaches capacity.
For these students, the performance is a key milestone in their development, moving their work from an academic setting to a professional public stage. The program is designed to highlight both technical skill and stylistic range, moving from complex concertos to intimate chamber music and solo pieces.
The evening will feature performances by Diego Abreu Socas (trombone), Jesús Rubén Afonso Morín (trumpet), Christian Alexander Contreras Leandro (piano), and a viola quartet consisting of Stephane Schmalen, Blandina Imelda Dimande, Hernán García García, and Fátima Arencibia Corbera.
The repertoire is equally diverse, spanning from the French Baroque of Jean-Philippe Rameau to the Romanticism of Franz Liszt and the lyricism of Gabriel Fauré. The musicians will also tackle technically demanding works by Henri Tomasi and Eduardo Crespo, concluding with a piece by York Bowen that will test the ensemble's tonal balance. This recital highlights the CSMC’s commitment to excellence and offers the public a glimpse into the impressive capabilities of the next generation of performers from the Canary Islands.
