The Auditorio de Tenerife’s 2025-2026 cultural outreach program successfully engaged over 20,000 participants across 23 municipalities, cementing the venue's role as a vital hub for social and educational inclusion.

The Auditorio de Tenerife’s cultural outreach during the 2025-2026 season has proven that its management model goes far beyond traditional performances, becoming a vital part of the island’s social life. Data from the auditorium’s Educational and Social Area shows that over 20,000 people directly benefited from these programs, highlighting the success of efforts to bring culture to every corner of the archipelago.

Between September 2025 and June 2026, the initiative reached 23 municipalities across the island. José Carlos Acha, the island’s Minister of Culture, noted that the program’s success stems from its appeal to all ages—ranging from the "Kangaroo Choir" for babies, which uses the Grandes Oyentes method, to theatrical training for adults as old as 78.

The impact was achieved through several key initiatives:

  • Educational Performances: Collaborations with the Tenerife Symphony and a production of Bluebeard's Castle drew more than 13,400 attendees from schools and social centers.
  • Theater in School: This program supported 15 companies in delivering 81 shows and 121 creative workshops, reaching 6,591 students across 99 different locations.
  • Training and Support: The auditorium’s theater schools hosted 131 students, while local amateur groups held 42 performances.
  • Guided Learning: The venue hosted workshops for 777 schoolchildren and technical training for 190 students, alongside specialized outreach programs with organizations like the ONCE Foundation and AFES Mental Health.

Supported by the DISA Foundation and collaborating with the INAEM through the Conference on Inclusion in the Performing Arts, the Auditorio de Tenerife has become a benchmark for international networks like Reseo and the National Network of Educational Concert Organizers (ROCE). These results confirm that prioritizing accessibility and diverse programming will remain the cornerstone of the island’s cultural policy moving forward.
